Alaskan cruises run from May to September each year this is because it is to cold during the winter months for a pleasant cruise. July & August are the warmest months but these are also busier and more expensive so if you are looking for a bargain it may be wise to look for a cruise in may-June.

If you re going onto cruise to Alaska you will want some travel tips, as this environment is lot different from your usual cruises therefore a lot of people don’t know what to expect, so here are my recommendations:
Bring Warm Layered clothing
It can get very cold (especially in the mornings) in Alaska so having a rain coat and a sweater are always wise, but you will want layer this clothing as in the afternoon temperatures can become comfortable
Trainers:
You will want a shoe with good grip, it can get quite slippy on a cruise boat with all the mist
Binoculars:
If you forget these handy things you will surely miss out on some of Alaska’s finer experiences such as whale spotting & viewing the amazing scenery in more detail
Book a cabin with a balcony:
Even although these rooms cost more but you will be glad you paid that little bit extra as cruise rooms can get a bit cramped and you will be glad of that extra space that allows you to watch the wonderful scenery go by.

Cruising in Alaska is becoming more popular all the time, this is because its a very beautiful place and some of the scenery is beyond belief, you will see glaciers, picturesque islands and some of the most amazing wildlife ever. Unlike a normal cruise where you are mainly out for the sun & peace the sea gives you, an Alaskan cruise is a true experience that you will never forget.
